The downward trend in TV panel prices will accelerate in November

The price of a 32-inch TV panel fell an average of $4 in October to $52, and is expected to fall another $2 in November to $50, according to survey data.
After dropping $1 last month, the price of a 39.5/40-inch TV panel will drop a further $2 in November, bringing the panel price down to $78.
Prices for 43-inch and 49/50-inch TV panels held steady in October 2018, but are expected to drop $2 in November.
The price of a 65-inch panel was $242 in October, down an average of $3, due to increased capacity at boe's 10.5 gb fabs, and is expected to fall at the same rate to $239 in November. Prices for 65-inch panels fell more than 40% in October from a year earlier. Meanwhile, the average price of a 75-inch TV panel dropped to $530, down from a high of $730 in 2017.
The downward trend in TV panel prices is likely to continue into the first half of 2019 as China star optoelectronics (CSOT), foxconn and chongqing HKC added capacity in the first half, according to industry sources.
